Taxes, payroll, the IRS, and your books. Handled.

Four services that cover the full year. Take one, or let us run all of it.

Tax planning and preparation

A plan made during the year, while there is still time to change the number. Then the returns, business and personal, prepared from it.

  1. Plan. We map the year: how the business is set up, what you pay yourself, retirement, and timing.
  2. Prepare. Business and personal returns, built from clean numbers.
  3. File. Reviewed with you in plain English, then filed on time.
Plan my taxes

IRS representation

Notices, audits, back taxes, payment plans, and penalty relief. An Enrolled Agent can speak to the IRS for you, so you never make that call yourself.

  1. Read. Send the letter. We tell you what it means and what is at stake.
  2. Respond. We answer the IRS for you and track every response date.
  3. Resolve. Back returns, payment plans, and penalty relief requests, until the matter is closed.
Handle my IRS letter

Payroll and quarterly filings

Payroll for you and your team, with every quarterly filing a business owner faces: payroll tax returns, state reports, and estimated tax payments.

  1. Set up. Payroll accounts, pay schedule, and owner salary, done correctly from day one.
  2. Run. Each pay period processed, with taxes withheld and deposited.
  3. File. Every quarter and at year end: Forms 941, state returns, W-2s, and your estimates.
Run my payroll

Bookkeeping

Books you can read and rely on. Whether you are months behind or just tired of doing it yourself.

  1. Catch up. We rebuild the books from your bank and card statements.
  2. Keep current. Transactions categorized and accounts reconciled every month.
  3. Use it. Clear reports, ready when a tax decision comes up.
Clean up my books

A tax year that runs on a schedule.

  • No April surprises

Planning happens during the year, so the bill is one you saw coming.

  • Every deadline tracked

Quarterly payroll returns, estimated payments, and annual returns are on our calendar, not only on yours.

  • One person who knows your file

You work directly with Jessica, not a rotating team.

  • The IRS deals with us

With a power of attorney in place, we handle the IRS so you don't have to.

Never miss a federal tax deadline.

The key dates for individuals, the self-employed, employers, and business owners, from 2025 through 2028. When a due date lands on a weekend or legal holiday, the IRS moves it to the next business day, and so does this calendar. Bookmark it. The next deadline is always on top.

  1. The calendar needs JavaScript turned on in your browser.

Federal deadlines for calendar-year taxpayers. State deadlines differ, and trust, estate, nonprofit, and excise tax dates are not listed. Dates for 2025 and 2026 match IRS Publication 509. Dates for 2027 and 2028 are worked out from the same IRS rules and get confirmed when the IRS publishes each year's calendar. Disaster relief or a change in the law can move a deadline. This is general information, not tax advice.

Start it right. Switch when it's time.

How a business is set up decides how it is taxed. We form the entity, file the S corporation election when the numbers support it, and help you launch with a brand that looks the part.

What a package covers
  • Your LLC or corporationFormation documents prepared and filed with your state.
  • EIN Included freeYour federal tax ID number from the IRS, at no extra charge.
  • Operating agreementThe written agreement for how your LLC is owned and run.
  • Next-steps consultation FreeA call after formation to map what comes next.

The package price includes the state filing fee in most states. Five states charge more (Alaska, Massachusetts, Nevada, Tennessee, and Texas), New York requires newspaper publication after filing, and rush processing costs extra in every state. Your written quote shows those costs before you start. Custom packages are available, built around your business and what your state requires. Jessica Allison Tax Services is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

S corporation elections

For new entities from day one, and for established businesses ready to make the switch.

  1. Check. We run the numbers first. The election only makes sense when the savings beat the added cost.
  2. Elect. We prepare and file the election with the IRS, and with your state where a separate one is required.
  3. Pay. We set up owner payroll, so the salary side is done correctly from the first check.

  1. Logo. Designed for your business and delivered in the file formats you will need.
  2. Brand kit. Colors, fonts, and simple rules, so everything you put out matches.
  3. Website. A clean, fast site that says what you do and how to reach you.

Simple from the first call.

  1. We talk

A complimentary video call to hear what is going on and what you need.

  2. You see it in writing

An engagement letter spells out exactly what is included and what it costs, before any work starts.

  3. We handle it

You send documents through a secure link. We do the work, and you hear from us before the deadlines, not after.

Good to know before we start

The terms that matter, in plain English. Your engagement letter has the full version.

  • The first call is free

It is for hearing what is going on and mapping next steps. Tax advice and all other work begin with a signed engagement letter.

  • You approve the fee first

The scope and the fee are put in writing before any work starts. Our fee is set by the work involved, never by the size of your refund.

  • Fees are not refunded once work begins

Our time is the service. After we start, fees for work performed are not refunded, even if you decide not to file or the result is not what you hoped for. A deposit that holds a consultation time is not refunded either. It counts toward your fee. If you cancel before work begins, any payment beyond the deposit is returned.

  • No one can promise a result

We cannot guarantee a refund amount, a level of savings, or how the IRS will decide. What we promise is careful, accurate work and plain answers.

  • Your part: complete information, on time

We work from what you give us and ask questions when something does not add up. You review and approve every return before it is filed. If documents are still missing near a deadline, we tell you early and can file an extension.

  • Your records and your privacy

Whatever you send us is returned when you ask. Your tax information is used only for your tax work and is not shared for anything else without your written consent, unless the law requires it.

Questions owners ask first

What is an Enrolled Agent?

A tax professional licensed by the IRS and admitted to practice before it. An Enrolled Agent can represent taxpayers before the IRS in any state, in audits, collections, and appeals. Enrolled Agents are independent. They do not work for the IRS.

Do you work with clients outside New York?

Yes. The practice is virtual. Documents move through a secure link, and meetings happen by video.

What does it cost?

It depends on the work. You get the scope and the fee in writing before anything starts, so you know the number before you commit.

Are your fees refundable?

Not once work has begun. Our time is the service, so fees for work performed are not refunded, and a deposit that holds a consultation time is not refunded either. If you cancel before work begins, any payment beyond the deposit is returned. You approve every fee in writing before we start, so the number is never a surprise.

I got a letter from the IRS. What should I do first?

Find the response date on the letter, and don't ignore it. Then send it over. Most letters have a clear next step once a tax professional reads them.

I'm behind on filing. Can you help?

Yes. We pull your IRS records, work out which years need to be filed, prepare them, and then deal with any balance or penalties.

Does payroll include the tax filings?

Yes. Payroll comes with the filings that go with it: Forms 941 each quarter, state returns, and W-2s at year end.

Should my business be an S corporation?

Sometimes. It starts to make sense when profit is high enough that the payroll tax saved is more than the extra cost of running one. The worksheet on this page gives you a first look.

My business is already running. Is it too late for an S corporation?

No. A new entity can elect from its first day. An established business can make the switch for a coming tax year, and sometimes for the current one. The election has a filing deadline, so the earlier we look at it, the more options you have.

Can you set up my LLC or corporation?

Yes. A formation package covers the state filing, your EIN at no extra charge, and an operating agreement, and it can be customized to your business and your state. The state filing fee is included in most states. After formation, a free consultation maps your next steps. We are not a law firm, so when a question calls for legal advice, we will say so and point you to an attorney.

Bring the letter, the return, or the question.

In one call you will know what the next step is and whether we are the right fit for it.
